1. Great, that's the way to hide users from GAL.
2. No, there isn't any possible way in Exchange natively to set the priority on user account for send/receive emails...Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Nop, Exchange 2003 Management Tools has no settings for setting priority for certain users only.
Exchange 2007 hasmechanismto set priority queuing but it depends on the priority of email set while sending.

thats mean i think it can be a BUG in exchange2003 ???
some user can be exploit it...????
let suppose i have around 1000 users and few of those are sending emails (outside from company for example to yahoo , hotmail etc) of big attachments and few users are just sending emails with few of KB's in size, so the users who are sending emails with few of KB's size will definitelysuffer and wait until the big attachments email will processed
am i right amit

Well, in that case you can schedule the connector in "Delivery Options" tab for oversized message (you can set message size) to send at certain time like during off-hours. But this applies for all users and can not besegregatedfor certain users only.

Hello,
I agree with Amit, there is no way to adjust mail priority according individual sender. If you want send email with large attachment in spare time, set it on connector is the best way for this. Thanks,Elvis

Haseeb,
That would be difficult to develop such software or program in Exchange 2003 because it uses FIFO method.
However it might be possible to develop such transport agent in newer version of Exchange (2007). You may try putting a query in Exchange 2007 Development forum and see if something can be helpful if you are planning to upgrade your Exchange server version...

Hi all....there is no way to adjust mail priority according individual sender. Can I remove the ability for all users to select a priority when sending an email?

Thanks anyway guys, figured it out....
The Set-Mailbox cmdlet in the Exchange Management Shell has the DowngradeHighPriorityMessagesEnabled parameter. The default value is False. When this parameter is set to True, any High priority messages that are sent from the mailbox are automatically downgraded to Normal priority. For more information, see Set-Mailbox.

Haseeb,
Thas't a parameter of a cmdlet available in Exchange 2007 (not in 2003) and also it remove the priority of all mails send by user to an X.400 mail system... :)
Description of parameter:
DowngradeHighPriorityMessagesEnabled parameter prevents the mailbox from sending high priority messages to an X.400 mail system. If this parameter is set to $true and the mailbox sends a high priority message destined to an X.400 mail system, the meAmit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
