I am running outlook 2007 and it won't start. I am getting the message below. What causes this error and how do i fix it?

errors have been detected in the file c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\applications data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.ost.

Based on the error message you provided, the Outlook Data File(.ost) has been corrupted and usually we need to run Scanpst.exe to fix it.

For Outlook 2007, the Scanpst.exe should be located in one of the two paths:

32-bit Windows	C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
64-bit Windows	C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12

Run Scanpst.exe, open and scan the data file, then repair. Check the result again.
