I cant install office 2013, when i install the product, find a windows "microsoft has detected an error during installation", next appear other windows "microsoft setup bootstrapper stopped working".

I've got the same problem. Can't install office 2013 because of a bootstrap problem. Been at it for hours. Totally frustrated. Don't know what to try next. The advice above says to modify windows registry ! What an unhelpful answer ! Wouldn't have a clue where to begin.

I am facing similar issue. Trying to install office 2013.

1. I tried installing but from beginning with fresh windows 8.1 i am facing this issue. Keep getting 'Microsoft bootstrapper has stopped working'.

2. Used several microsoft fixIt to remove any office instance. (But i dont have any). 

3. Now really fade-up.

The solution is uninstall and reinstall Windows :(
