migrate ex2010 to new server
build the new exchange servers
move the mailboxes to the new server
make sure all tranpsort rules are working on the new server
make sure the new server is listed in any special connectors you may have
do not uninstall the old server until you are certain everything is working on the new one; that way you have a back out plan.TBrennan

The easiest way would be to build the new hardware and install the Exchange components you want to migrate from the old server. Once the new Exchange server is functional you can move the mailboxes from the old server. There can be complications
though. Is this a stand alone Exchange server or is it a member of a DAG or CAS Array?TBrennan
