moved Public Folders, empty
Exchange 2007 SP2 i have successfully transferred all my mailboxes to a new server and when i try to transfer the Public Folders, i refer to this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331970(EXCHG.80).aspx using the command MoveAllReplicas.ps1 -Server Server01 -NewServer Server02 after issuing that command, i waited for a few minutes (contents are less than 100MB), and nothing happened. even in the old server the Public Folders contains nothing! what did i do wrong? appreciate any help.

Hi The command is correct. Even if the public folder contains less than 100MB, wait a little bit longer. It may take up to an hour or more. Regards PanoPano Boschung, PageUp AG

Hello, Yes, please wait for two more days for replication. If it still does not work, please check the application log to see if there are error reports. Thanks, Simon

still empty :( i have an idea. if i shutdown the new server. restore from backup the old server and bring it online, just long enough to copy the public folders contents (copy and paste) to my laptop, will it not affect the new server? i'm thinking because the restore will contain the old mailboxes too (which is not supposed to be there because i've moved it) will it somehow affect the Global Catalog server when i finally bring the new server online?

Strange, can you see if they have been deleted and try to recover - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924044 Also, use Get-PublicFolderStatistics to check the PF on the new server.Sukh

SOLVED! i try everything that goggle throws at me (even creating a recovery domain with the old mail server) and nothing works. so i closed my eyes and started the old mail server (mailboxes and all), created a new user whose "home" mailbox is in the old mail server, then i was able to open PF and found my missing files. so i copy and paste them to my PST file then uploaded them to the new PF of the new mail server. funny thing is PFDAVadmin can see those files but whatever folder permissions i do, it just doesn't appear. i would get, "A folder design conflict has occurred in "Policies and Procedures". The design of this folder has been simultaneously modified on two or more folder replicas. Only the set of changes made last have been saved." emailed to me by Exchange.
