moving an email address
We have SBS 03 and are using exchange. Our email comes directly to exchange from the internet (we do not use a pop3 connector). If user A gets fired, we want user
B to be able to get users A mail for the next couple of weeks to two months. In the past we have configured User b outlook to open a second mailbox User A. In this case User B works remotely and also wants to receive it on his Blackberry as well as through
outlook. I was thinking I could add User A email address to User B account and a second Email address and delete it when I’m done but I don’t know how to do that without deleting user A account first and losing that mailbox. I think I can just
back it up first, delete the account (user A) and then add the address to User B. Is there an easier way?
Thanks for the help

Good for you not using a POP connector!
You can change the SMTP address on user A's mailbox to something else and add the original SMTP address to user B. You can also add user B as an alternate recipient on user A's mailbox, but that will end up in the mail going
into both mailboxes.
By the way, the way you do it now is the most common practice.

Thanks for the quick response. Can you tell me how to <<You can also add user B as an alternate
recipient on user A's mailbox>> or point me to an artical about it, I have never done it that way.
Thanks

In the properties of the user, under Exchange General > Delivery Options, you can choose a Forwarding Address to another recipient.
