I have just setup a new san and want to move my public folders and first storage group. I have move the users and that went well. How are these two folders moved?

Are you moving to a new server or just a new SAN?
The way I'd do it is to present the new LUNs as new drive letters or mount points and use Move-DatabasePath and Move-StorageGroupPath cmdlets.

You can have only one public folder store per server, so you'll map
the SAN storage to a drive letter on the server and then move the
database to the new space.

Thanks.
I am just moving to a new san not another server. I have already moved most of the users. If I move the public folders how will I point everyone to the new location?

Users would be accessing public folder thru client setting defined in mailbox databse. here you need to point PF databse.
You can see section "Use the EMC to configure mailbox database properties " in below article.

If you're not moving the public folders to another server then you
only have one choice: move the public folder database to the new SAN
storage. There's no need to change anything else.
