Visit http://support.microsoft.com and enter the Error ID to find more information.Exchange Server setup encountered an error.i am also unable to uninstall this or run a new install because of this error.i have looked at deleting teh OU's containing the details of the exchange servers but thought this would be best idea as i am running this in a domain that currently contains exchange server 2003 cluster.i have also added the exchange server computer account to the 'exchange servers' and 'Exchange Install Domain Servers' groups. but still no luckI have tried to locate this or resolve this error but no luck so far. any help will be greatful thanks.

not too sure on details of what i did becuase i was working on it for so long i gave up caring! but i basically took them completely off the network. removed all traces of exchange 2007 from AD by editing the schema, deleted them from dns, wins AD etc and started again. gave them new names, ip addresses but instead of using a standard build i used a bare build (nothing except windows and updates) then installed exchange first. this worked. (dont forget to run all the preparations to put all the active directory objects back e.g. pad etc!)cant really say more than this sorry. just run through step by step from scratch on a fresh build and eventually you'll get there. its VERY important to make sure you clear all the values from active directory though. (dangerous if you dont know what your doing though!)
