multiple officec2rclient.exe processes running

We use a vbs script program to programmatically open a file in word, process, and save as, and email as an attachment (cdo.sys).

Over time an increasing number of instances of officec2rclient.exe process appear. After a while, the mailing part of the script does not send. The only evidence of that is that the CC'd person does not receive their copy of the email (neither does the To: recipient).

If I end all the subject processes using taskkill, and invoke the script, mailing starts working again.

Why does  this process have anything to do with programmatic use of Word?

Hi Tom,

Do you mind sharing your sample code? Since this is the forum to discuss questions and feedback for Microsoft Excel, we'd like to know what type of script you used: Office object model or power shell. Then I'll move your thread to compatible forum.

Thanks for your understanding.

Regards,

I have the same issue, I am using a vbscript (Excel Object Model) to update files automatically and deploy over the local network.
