Hi,
Could you post an error message?
Are the two domains in the same forest?

Hi
Have you tried doing a message tracking on the mails?
If they are on the same network you could add a send connector with a smart host so that the mails are sent directly between the servers instead of going though the internet.

Do message tracking as mracket suggested. Also see if you can connect and send email via telnet on port 25.
1. Open command prompt on Exchange server A
2. telnet exchangeServerB 25
Helo
mail from: user@domainA.com
rcpt to:user@domainB.com
data
subject:test

Hi,
Any update on your issue? Have you tried to do message tracking on your Exchange server? Have you followed the suggestion by James?
Here is an article about how to use telnet to test SMTP communication.

Hi,
Sounds like your DNS server aren't able to lookup the MX records for the other domain. Try and use NSLOOKUP to to verify that you can see the server that you need to deliver the mails to. Run this from the hub transport server from each company. Here is
an technet article about how to use the nslookup utility:

to fix this particular issue i used the triubleshoot tools in exchnage to see 1 that the mail was coming in and going out of the servers. Then what hapen to be the issue was the incomming and outgoing connectors.
once i used the troublshooting tools i was able to follow the mail and where it was failing at.Danny G Guillory Jr.
