new wsus install on differenet server
Hi,I am new to sccm and have just been handed a project to get sccm up and running in a short period of time. The sysadmin before me had installed sccm all on one computer with wsus and scup installed using the dell update catalog. I would like to removve the wsus and scup serverices off the server and move these services to another server in the domain that is presently handling all the wsus MS updates. My question is that is there any problems with installing these services on a seperate node and the packages already in the scum server now what would be the best way to remove all of these and use the new node along with that certificate that is already running. PS we are in native mode and do have a certificate server installed.

you can do that , but the requirement is that you need to install the WSUS console on the SCCM server, which in turn will sync with the WSUS server. On the Software update point , please specify the WSUS server name and not the SCCM server name.Raj
