one AD domain, 2 smtp domains, 2 servers
I have one active directory domain with 2 domain contolers with exchange installed. What I need to do is accept mail from mydomain.co.uk on one server in one country and from mydomain.ie in another and also send from each. Both are using separate broadband providers but the same email isp. I have mail already coming from into mydomain.ie(at this place everthing is ok as it is the master). How should i go about recieving mail from the mydomain.co.uk and also sending. Would adding in mydomain.co.uk into the recipient policy work for incoming and tell the isp to send that domains to the wan ip of that server? How will I setup outgoing on mydomain.co.uk also as there is already a default smtp connector installed for the mydomain.ie as a smarthost to the broadband isp and obviously this will not work for the mydomain.co.uk guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since you're talking about recipient policies, I assume you work with Exchange 2003? You should indeed create a new recipient policy that will make your exchange organization aware that it is responsible formydomain.ie, and if you set the ldap filter correct only users that need the emailaddress will get it. You should have your isp provider forward the mail to your exchange server, as you did for the mydomain.co.uk domain. If you give everyoneboth email addresses, they will all be able to receive mails sent to both mail domains, but mail will go outside from their primary smtp address.
