I have a domain user with XP Pro and Office 2007 trying to get the OneNote add-in in outlook, but neither she nor I (an admin) can locate it.  I have tried adding through Tools --> Trust Center --> Com add-ins -->Add, but the Addins directory is empty.  I have also tried through the Add/Remove Programs control panel, but can find no way to install the OneNote add-in for Outlook.

 

Does anyone know how to get the OneNote add-in for Outlook installed in Office 2007?

In Trust Center when you click Add-ins, could you see OneNote Notes about Outlook Items listed under Inactive Application Add-ins? If you cannot see it, you may repair installation of OneNote in control panel.

Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs, you may click change on Microsoft Office 2007. Then under the Microsoft Office Onenote, you will see an Add-In field, expand it and you will see options for Outlook and Internet Explorer. CLick on the Outlook listing and make sure Run from My Computer is selected and then click continue. After that, restart Outlook.

Apparently, there is no OneNote add-in for Outlook in Office 2007.  At least, I cannot locate any way to add such a thing in the Office 2007 Enterprise installer.  However, I was able to point out the functional equivalent by having the user go to Print in Outlook and choose "Print to OneNote."

Or an registry modification in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.one ?
