outlook 2013 how to NOTsend immediately

Outlook 213 on Win8 x64 workstation connected to Exchange Server 2010.

How do I stop sending email messages immediately.  I like to compose my emails and let them sit in the Outbox till I execute a Send and Receive command.

There "used to be" a check box "Send immediately when connected" but I can't find it

you can delay sending a single email message or use rules to delay the delivery of all messages. These messages are held in the Outbox for a specified time after you click Send.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for the very interesting information.  It does answer to a small extent but I'm pretty sure that in another installation of Outlook 2013 I located and used a checkbox in the Options section that allowed the emails to bank up until I pressed "Send and receive."

My thinking is that we should use mail the same way we use office letters.  In other words I write a letter, put it in an envelope, and leave it in a tray that will some time be committed to the letterbox.  This means that during the passage of the day, I might reflect upon the sentiments I had put on paper. I would have retrieved the letter and changed it before sending it.  Best regards, Michael

There are a lot of such duplicate remover add-ins which supports Outlook 2013 on Internet.

I find some of them for your reference.

Hi Tony...

That's a couple of useful utilities you have identified but I think you've got a good reply to the wrong question.  Duplicate entries are not my issue!  I am still indebted to you for the response.

Best regards,

Michael
