outlook anywhere issue
Hello when i configure user profile from internal network to use outlook anywhere it working properly even he go out my company he still receive and send emails . issue : when i am trying to configure new user out of my company to use outlook anywhere the prompt box asking user , pass for this user but it it will not work it cannot resolve mailbox name need your help thnxMCP MCSA MCSE MCT MCTS CCNA

Hi, You confirmed that for other users its working. but while configuring the new user profile it prompting for the password and you are able to authenticate as well, but its not resolving the mailbox. Few things you can check 1. Check Mailbox - hope this is not be hidden. 2. run the Auto discover test by going https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/, select outlook autodiscover. Did you tried the auto discover test ? run the Auto discover test by going https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/, select outlook autodiscoverKnow more about Messaging :-)

Hello i run the discovery test and this the result : ExRCA is attempting to test Autodiscover for test@jah.com. Testing Autodiscover failed. Test Steps Attempting each method of contacting the Autodiscover service. The Autodiscover service couldn't be contacted successfully by any method. Test Steps Attempting to test potential Autodiscover URL https://jah.com/AutoDiscover/AutoDiscover.xml Testing of this potential Autodiscover URL failed. Hello, From the result, this may be DNS resolution issue. Please verify whether there is a record for autodiscover on DNS server or DNS SRV record. Please check if your certificate is SAN certificate. A new feature is available that enables Outlook 2007 to use DNS Service Location (SRV) records to locate the Exchange Autodiscover service Best Regards, Lisa

regarding to our external DNS it is ok i think we have a problem on our certificate but give me clear steps also i am facing this issue may be related to our case : Security warning when you start Outlook 2007 and then connect to a mailbox that is hosted on a server that is running Exchange Server 2007 or Exchange Server 2010: "The name of the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site" plz need ur help MCP MCSA MCSE MCT MCTS CCNA

Hi Yasser , To configure Exchange AutoDiscover correctly you may need to review below points and make sure it's configured correctly : 1- Enable autodiscover on Exchagen Server (CAS) with your external domain.either using EMC or EMS for example : Enable-OutlookAnywhere -Server CAS01 -ExternalHostname "mail.contoso.com" -DefaultAuthenticationMethod "Basic" -SSLOffloading:$False 2- Configure your Public DNS records for autodiscover.contoso.com (which will point to your CAS server real IP). 3-configure your network firewall (if exist) to allow and accept external connections through port 80 / 443. 4-review your SAN name of your certificate and make sure it include the autodiscover.yourdomain.com
