Environment - Windows 2008 SP2 - Exchange 2007 SP3. Having emails not being sent from the Exchange with the reason of 421 4.4.1 connection timed out. These emails come into the user just fine and we have a transport rule which
sends the email to a gmail account for big brother to see. This issue has just started happening. Don't understand how this can happen when on a daily basis there are around 500 emails (varying in size, have/don't have attachments) sent
to this gmail acount without any issues. Is there a way I can push these emails thru? or open these email up and re-direct them? Queue viewer seems limited or I don't have the knowledge. Thanks in advance

Try changing transport rule for a test and send them to hotmail instead, it would be the easiest to test if it is not an issue with gmail.
You can also check the connectivity with there server to verify that everything is ok with networkWith kind regards

How do I check the connectivity with there server? Is there any way of pushing these emails out of the exchange to the gmail account? Can I view the complete email somehow and manipulate to force it thru?

How do I find out what my setting are currently? Not sure what the command described in the article does. Also, this looks like a receiving instruction - i'm trying to send these emails out.

Connection timeout is at 10:00 with tarpitinterval of 00:05 - so I meet the article requirements. These emails which get "stuck" are from the same sender (have about 10 different senders getting stuck). Size of email doesn't
matter still get the 421 4.4.1 connection timed out message.

Any other ideas? This could be a mute point - looks as though were are going to switch from mxlogic to symantec.
