Hello, Can an e-mail be re called or cancelled once it has been sent. Basically is it possible to avoid from having the recepient be able to read it. The recepient is an outside e-mail address and not internal to the exchange server

Hiya, You can choose in Outlook to recall the message but if it is an external recipient then the message will not be deleted without them being able to read it. They will just get a message saying you would like to recall the message.. Possibly making the recipient more interested in reading the original message! yes but what I want to know is that if the original e-mail can still be read by the recipient because if so even if he receives the message to recall I agree with Steve that the recipient will be more interested in reading the original message! I think that it is impossible to get back and delete an e-mail once it has been sent, please correct me if this is true for both internal and external domain. Thanks

I believe so. But as long as the other server is exchange and they didn't read it then you can recall it. It will send a message saying you recalled it. but they can't view it if they didn't see it yet. Places like gmail or yahoo mail or anyone not using exchange it will not work regardless if they read it or not.
