remote registry service high memory usage
On our exchange 2010 server I see high memory usage on the remote registry service.
Our configuration is a DAG with 4 databases two running on each side. We use one Hub/Witness/CAS where clients connect to.
We use SCOM to monitor the exchange environment. We also have a exchange 2007 in that environment and two Edge servers.
Anybody any idea what is the purpose of the remote registry service in Exchange and why it eats this memory?

How long its been happening?
I would say reboot should fix the issue, did you gave a shot?
Do you see any events in app log related to the issue? Gulab | MCITP: Exchange 2010-2007 | Lync Server 2010 | Windows Server 2008 | Skype: Exchange.Ranger | Blog: www.ExchangeRanger.Blogspot.com

Hi
"Remote Registry" service enables remote users to alter registry setting on your computer. The Windows Remote Registry service is required on the Client so that the Control Center can display the computer's status in
Manage Computers.
It seems to be bug and it has been fixed. You can download hotfix from this KB.

Maybe some AV\scan software will cause this kind of problem too.

I will try the hotfix.. This sounds like my issue. Let you know later as this production server cannot be rebooted easily. Server is 2008 R2 not SP1 .
