removed users from AD respond to meeting requests
I have a new user who just started yesterday. I created a profile for her on SBS2003, nothing fancy, just a regular user. I added the ability for her to access two different executives contacts and calendars. When meetingrequests are sent from Executive A and the end user responds, a NDR is sent back for a non-existent user (former member of) within our domain who was not invited to the meeting; it'simplying they are receiving a copy of the meeting request. I have checked Executive A, his assistant and my own PC for this phantom user, nothing shows. I have drilled into active directory and the user doesn't exist there either. The only significance is that the former member's name also used to be administrative assistant for Executive A, and had the same calendar and contact access prior. I thought it might have to do with offline address book, but since the new administrative assistant was just created, would she have the invalid addresses in her book? Maybe I'm missing a cleanup tool or something for SBS 2003? Error message below. Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Hi, I understand that you received a NDR error from the non-existent user that was deleted previously when sending the meeting request from Executive A to a new user account. Regarding this issue, I suggest we take the following steps to troubleshoot it. Please first check whether the delegates for the Executive A has been configured correctly. To do this, open the outlook of the Executive A, click tools, click Options, in the Delegates tab, please check whether the non-existent user account appears in that field. If there is, please delete it. Additionally, please use ADSI Edit to verify whether the delegates properties of the non-existent user exists on the Executive A. Regarding the ADSI Edit tool, please locate it in the installation file of Exchange, you can view the article as the reference. http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/ebca3324-5427-471a-bc19-9aa1decd3d401033.mspx?mfr=true Then locate the Executive A by going to the following location: DC= Domain Name, DC=com, CN=Users, CN=Executive A, right click Executive A, select Properties, drop down the list and locate the publicDelegates, please check whether the problematic value was existed in there. If there is, please delete the value. After that, please check this issue. If the issue persists, please use ADSI Edit to check whether the non-existent user has been deleted completely. Then locate the user account by going to the following location: DC= Domain Name, DC=com, CN=Users, CN=<non-existent user account>. If there is, please delete it. After that, please check this issue. Thanks Allen
