reset 2013 user OWA settings to default profile
Hello, can someone tell me if there is a way to reset a 2013 user OWA settings to default profile? I've found similar questions with previous versions of Exchange but no definitive answers. To further clarify my question allow me to provide an example- Let's say a user modified a rule, folder attribute, theme, etc... And I just want to reset everything back to what it was as if the user is opening the OWA client for the very first time. Is there a power shell or some other way of accomplishing this task other then deleting and recreating the users mailbox? Thanks in advance

The OWA settings are saved in a hidden message in the mailbox. If this is a one-off thing, you could look for it using something like EWS Editor, and delete it. But it's not something you'd want to do regularly.Mobile OWA For Smartphone www.leederbyshire.com email a@t leederbyshire d.0.t c.0.m

Thanks Lee! Is there a step by step process for using EWS Editor? Sorry I'm new to exchange and coming from Domino. You're right this would be a one off process.

thanks Le but that's the thread I already read. If you read the entire thread it provides some hints but it is not resolved and leads to no good answer.

Not yet, I'm afraid - you're probably the first person to use it for this particular task, and I'd suggest you try it on a test mailbox first. But first, get hold of EWS Editor http://ewseditor.codeplex.com/ and see if you can connect to a mailbox with it. Then we can work out what to look for.Mobile OWA For Smartphone www.leederbyshire.com email a@t leederbyshire d.0.t c.0.m

Right, it looks like, precisely, there is no good answer and that you might make Exchange history by finding it - if you are indeed, as Lee (two e's) suggests, the first person to try this. The discussion I linked seems to suggest no one, even among some of the top contributors, has ever heard of one. Please mark as helpful if you find my contribution useful or as an answer if it does answer your question.
