reverse pointer and cnames
Hello not sure if i can put this on paper correctly but here goes. i would like to use the default qwest name on the ip they gave me and create a cname at godaddy to point to it. So that let say mail.myemail.com will point to it so that i can point a few domains to it for email. Is that do able first off and will att and aol except that for a reverse lookup record and mx record?bill

Hi Bill,Yes you need to have MX, host (A) and reverse DNS (PTR) records in the public DNS (like GoDaddy) and test configuration with nslookup...How do I configure and test the MX Record for my Internet Domain name?http://www.petri.co.il/configure_mx_records_for_incoming_smtp_email_traffic.htm Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
