Dears , please advice what should I do after I ran the dcgpofix I have the 31B.... group policy is missing and i want to fix it , i ran it before but it detroyed my exchange server so I did restore for the backup to minimize the down time i have tried it in virtual environment and after i run the dcgpofix , i do setup /preparead from the exchange cd , and then it works fine . is it all I need or still something else before I apply it in the live Enviornment Regards,

Hi Ramos, From Exchange aspect, you only need to prepare the domain after running dcgpofix. Exchange DomainPrep adds 'domain\exchange enterprise servers' to the 'manage auditing and security log' user right assignment for the 'Default Domain Controllers' policy. If this is not present, the information store and MTA will not start on Exchange servers. Thanks, Elvis
