search all users for specific attachment
A user deleted a Contact card from his mailbox Contacts folder. The contact had a lot of important information in it. Our IT consultants tell me a complete restore takes 6-8 hours and a lot more disk space than we have. My user
tells me he emailed that card as an attachment to other users in the company.
Isn't there a way to search all 'users' for that card and find out who has a copy of it?
I've read about PowerShell - have it installed on my computer - but the get-mailbox command gives me errors (the term is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, probably because I don't have Exchange Management Shell installed). I can write VBA scripts
if that can be used to access via MAPI.
Using Exchange Server 2003 (within SBS 2003).

Hi,
I think Microsoft Exchange Server Mailbox Merge Wizard (ExMerge) will help you. You can export the email contain the attachment to .pst file.
For detailed, please refer to the following article:

Why not recover the contact from the deleted item retention?
