Hi, I want to implement exchange server 2003 in our company.Basically i am a dotnet programmer and not much knowledge in server and ip's.i have implemented exchange server 2003 inside our company(LAN) environment successfully.we can send mails inside the company.it is woking finely.My task is to i have to send mail outside of the company.so thatwhat steps i have to follow.assume we havesomeACUBE.NET is the domain inside the company.i have installed exchange server in our main server.what i have to do if we have send the mail outside.

Hi, Simple answer to get you sending\recieving mail on the internet is right click on the organisation level in Exchange System Manager and select the 'Internet Mail Wizard'. Accepting the defaults all the way through should sort you out. A few things you need to look out for ... - 'server selection' if you have more than one exchange server in your organisation - smtp domans that you want your exchange enviroment to accept mail for need to be listed in a 'Recipient Policy'. During the exchange install your internal ad domainname is used as the default and only smtp domain for your enviroment (in your case, acube.net). By adding additional domains on the 'SMTP DOmains for inbound mail' screen the default recipient policy will be updated for you. Just remember to select the correct 'From' (aka primary) smtp domain. - How's your mailserver getting connected to the internet, smtp needs port 25 redirected from the firewall to the exchange server - you have the domain name you want to accept e-mail for registered, and an mx record created on an internet facing dns server pointing to your companies external address. i know its quite simplified but can't get more complex without more information.
