server Licence and CAL
Hello Friends,I need some information regarding MS licesingIf I have to implement Exchange 2003 STD in a Front End - Back End scenario on Windows 2003 STD boxes, and configure 200 user mailboxes on the Back End Server, then. how many different type of licences and CALs do I need. I need windows server licence, exchnage server licence and device CALs for both Windows and Exchange. Is that correct? Most of my users have shared machines and they will be accessing mail through OWA. Thats why I used the term Device CAL.Lets say tomorrow if a new person joins my company. Does this mean that I have to buy one more CAL both for Exchange and Windows? Please suggest.Gigs

I'm nor an expert but you need one windows server license per server and one Exchange server licence per server and 1 CAL per mailbox in your case 2 Win Server license and 2 Exchange server license and 200 CAL's if you create a new mailbox you only need 1 more CAL
