I have some new Exchange 2007 servers that are monitored by MOM. MOM is sending me the following error: The test credentials cannot be used to test Outlook Web Access.The initial event reported:The test mailbox was not initialized. Run new-TestCasConnectivityUser.ps1 to ensure that the test mailbox is created. Then run set-CasConnectivityCredentials under a system account to store this user's credentials for use in testing the Client Access services. Detailed information: Mailbox Server: mailboxserver[Microsoft.Exchange.Monitoring.CasHealthInstructResetCredentialsException]: Please log on as a Domain Administrator and run new-TestCasConnectivityUser.ps1 to ensure that the automated task user is created.I have been able to run the new-TestCasConnectivityUser script to create the test user however set-CasConnectivityCredentials is not a recognized cmdlet on any of my Exchange servers. What am I missing here?

I am at the exact same point. I ran theNew-TestCasConnectivityUser.ps1 on the Exchange server, but I'm still getting flooded with the MOM error, and I have no idea where to obtain the Set-CasConnectivityCredentials cmdlet.

The direct answer to the question about finding the "set-CasConnectivityCredentials" is: No, I haven't found that... We've sent an email to the MOM Team to try and find out what that was supposed to be... However, the good news is that I did get past this problem. I started trying to manually run the cmdlets that MOM is using for its rules, such as "test-owaconnectivity", "test-activesyncconnectivity", and "test-outlookwebservices", etc... These tests were also failing when running them manually from the shell with authentication problems. I checked the AD user account, CAS_guid, and found the account was locked out, so I unlocked it. However, the tests were once again failing. So, following what the error message in the output of the cmdlet says: [Microsoft.Exchange.Monitoring.CasHealthCouldNotLogUserException]: Could not find and/or log on with user DOMAIN\CAS_guid if this task is being run without credentials, please log in as a DomainAdministrator, run the Scripts\new-TestCasConnectivityUser.ps1 to verify that the user exists on the mailbox server SERVER.domain.com I then re-ran thescript, which once again prompted for a password to assign, and it seems that it reset the test account credentials. After this, I was able to successfully run the test cmdlets. And MOM is no longer barking at me about running a set cmdlet that doesn't exist! Hope this helps! Lee

From the Exchange 2007 MP setup guide - "OM2007_MP_EX2007_R2.doc" The “Exchange 2007 Set CAS Connectivity Test Credentials” rule (targeted to the Mailbox server) periodically runs an Exchange 2007 cmdlet to automatically reset the password for the accounts. It is probably a SCOM script and not a normal exchange script.
