setting up exchange to use outlook
I have a server that is running Exchange 2010. I am wanting to set up Outlook 2007 on it so all the client computers are able to use the calendar feature on it so they will all have the same files, that way if someone adds something is added to the calendar all computers are updated. What is the best way to install this? I've never used Exchange server before. Thanks in advance

Hello, a PST is a personal store file which stores mails/contacts etc. on your local hard disk drive. For example when you open Outlook and configure it to use a POP account (without Exchange) the mails you download will go into this PST file. With Exchange you won't have such PST files because the data is stored on the Mailbox at the Mailbox server. Greetings, Toni

Hi, If you want to share some materials such as documents with all the users, you can use Exchange 2007 OWA Direct file access feature: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124232(EXCHG.80).aspx If you want to creat a shared calendar, you can use public folder: 1. Open outlook, expand to public folder. Right click your public folder and choose New folder. 2. Under folder contains, select “Calendar items”.
