setup ssl for owa using 2 exchange 2003 servers
Hi, Currently we need to migrate all mailboxes to a new setup mailserver (all exchange 2003 sp2). During this process users need to be able to useall mail related services such as owa through https. The 2nd exchange server has all the necessary specs and has already been supplied with the certificate for this owa connection, so its good to go. Unfortunately when processing request from the internet all ssl request are forwarded to the first server. What would be the most efficient way to have both servers available for ssl request on owa, to supply migrated users with owa/ssl etc. The users will be migrated in groups, that's why we need this done that way. Would it be to setup the current mailserver as Frontend mailserver? does this have an impact on the current tasks its running? After migration to remove the 'old' mailserver as frontend and forward all ssl/port 443 requests to the new mailserver? Please let me know... thx

Hi, the best solution for your scenario is to setup a frontend server on a different machine, thats because you cant make your old server a frontend until you have moved all of the user mailboxes in it. Hope it helps, Pablo
