Hi Sadek,
Yes, it can be done.
Follow below steps to create a shared mailbox.
Create a user and mailbox with generic / common name & disable this user account so users can not access this account but can use only mailbox.
Right click on this shared user and click properties.
Click Exchange Advance Tab -> Mailbox Rights -> Select "Self" Permission and Tick Allow Associated External Account
Now you need to give send as permissions and full mailbox access touser who wants access to this mailbox.
o Properties -> Exchange Advance Tab -> Mailbox Rights -> Add user who wants access and tick Allow Full Mailbox Access
o Properties -> Security Tab -> Add user who wants access and tick Allow Send As.
You can configure user's outlook with this shared mailbox.

if outlook is using cached mode, make sure that server has created a new OAB and that outlook has downloaded it.
if the shared mailbox is hidden, outlook cannot resolve its name

Dear Lasse
Offline Address Book(OAB) only shows the active directory users who have mailbox. but in my scenario i am trying to connect a shared mailbox say info@domain.com by an active directory user say me@domain.com . this me@domain.com do not have a mailbox. so i cannot configure me's account in outlook to see info@domain.com's mail.
please resolve this issue.
thanks

Hi Sadek,
Since AD user who is trying to access shared mailbox doesn't have mailbox, outlook doesn't resolve user's name.
You have to give the shared mailbox name in outlook to configure outlook profile.

Hi,
When configure the user profile, please input the name of the shared mailbox as the User Name rather than the user account that you added into the shared mailbox. (I assume the user is test) This is due to the test doesnt have the mailbox address but share with shared mailbox.
After finished the configuration, please open the outlook by using the test account and its password.
Thanks

Hi there,
i found that i can access the shared mailbox by OWA using the added user in a tricky way, say i have a mailbox called sharedmail and i am accessing it by test user then i typed in the address bar http://domain.com/exchange/sharedmail and when prompted for password i typed test@domail.com in username and used the test's password in password field and it worked fine. but my users cannot do it and they usually click a link http://domain.com/exchange so what suggestion for them????
thanks

Hi Sadek,
You need to open the mailbox in OWA by giving blow address in internet explorer or any browser.
http://<Exchange Server Name>/Exchange/<Login ID Of Shared Mailbox>
If it asks for password then give user id and password who has given full mailbox access on the Shared Mailbox.

Hi Sadek,
You need to educate users on how to use shared mailbox with Outlook / OWA.
OR
Publish a document with instructions on how to use Shared mailbox and distribute it.
