shared mailbox vs public folders in 2010
Dear colleagues,
is there a way to have in shared mailbox the unread emails by user as in public folders:
when a user read an email this should not convert the email to read for other users

No. A mailbox isn't a public folder.

No you cant. Maybe for your scenario educate users to preview the email rather than open them and set - "Mark items as read when viewed in reading pane" to disabled.
