smtp connector for internal email
Hi
i have an issue with spoofed email with email addresses in my own domain. i have 1 exchange server 2003 and a server is use internally to relay mail. i have a virtual server setup and 1 smtp connector for the server i use to email. the issue that has
occured is that when i added *.domain.com to my filtering to disallow spoofed email i wasn't allowed to send out email from my domain from my server used to relay mail. I then went and created a connector for local email and a connector for external email.
now my issue is that although i can send email from my relay server in house now. email with from internal addresses in the from field cannot go out the external server i get a 5.7 error. is there a way that i can set up the exchange server to allow email
from my internal server that relays to go out externally even though it will have an address with *.domain.com in the from field? please advise.

SPF records would prevent this. Identify both of your servers in an SPF record and configure your exchange server to reject messages failing the validation.
