smtp port 25 blocked by Internet Service Provider
Hi
I installed an Exchange 2013 under Windows 2012 server.
I have no pb to receive emails but it is impossible to send any email with the send-connector:
451 4.4.0 Primary target IP address responded with: 421 4.2.1 Unable to connect. Attempted failover to alternate host, but that did not succeed.
I called my Internet provider which said to me that the port 25 has been blocked because of spamming.
So, I would like to know: is it possible to change the smtp port for instance 587 instead of 25?
thanks in advance,
Bruno Grandjean

i found myself the solution by using PowerShell. Open Exchange Management Shell and type:
Set-SendConnector -Identity "SENDCONNECTORNAME" -port 587
check the change with:
Get-SendConnector -Identity "SENDCONNECTORNAME" | fl
I am using an active host in my sendConnector with basic auth
I unchecked TLS boot and checked dns parameters
I can now send email.
Do you know how to proceed with the new exchange 2013 web interface? I'm more than
interested!
Hope it will help you especially if you are using a dyndns domain with a dynamic IP like me (test purpose).

Hi Bruno,
Sorry for my misunderstanding.
To change the network port in Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010, we may use domain security with TLS; however, in Exchange 2013, there is no document about it based on my research. I'd suggest you use a firewall to force the network port change.
