specify at least one source server
Hey guys, I have built an exchange 2007 sp1standaloneedge server in our DMZ. There are no hub servers. We are going to us itas arelayfor now. While trying to create any send connector, it fails saying that I need to specify at least one source server. According to the documentation the edge server can stand by itself without having any other exchange 2007 roles in the environment. What am I missing? Thanks!Mike

Hey Mike, There are 4 deployment options for ETS, supported by Microsoft Deploy an Exchange2007 Edge Transport server into an existing ExchangeServer2003 environment. Recommended topology: Deploy an Exchange2007 Edge Transport server in an Exchange2007 organization in a perimeter network, which is also known as the boundary network or screened subnet, as part of a workgroup or domain. Deploy an Exchange2007 Edge Transport server as a member of the Exchange2007 organization that has the ActiveDirectory directory service. Deploy more than one Exchange2007 Edge Transport server in an Exchange2007 organization in the perimeter network of a domain or workgroup. I'm assuming that you have some form of Exchange already in your Org (Exchange 2003)? Check out the following technet article, I think it will give you the perspective you need! Are you following below guide? Also make sure that you are selecting correct usage in "Select the intended use for this connector" option.
