edit: and if the is the wrong area to post this if an admin/mod could move it please/thank youok i have alot of problems that i need to fix/ trouble shoot but for now ill list only the biggest problems atm====info:====i have a simple tech 120gig external hdfor best file transfer i purchased a usb 2.0 for the rear of my computeri have a dell 8200 "p.o.s." with 4 sticks of 1 gig ddr ram and (i dont wana admit having this still...) an intel 82850/82860 processor a NVDIDIA Geforce4 MX 420 with updated driverrunning on windows xp professionallyand a partly damaged cooling fan..... "dont ask how or why its a very very long story...."====problem:====i can read files on the external device but im not able to transfer much datawhen i do transfer data (say i have images i wish to transfer for safe keeping) i may only do 3 at a time if i try and do 4+ explorer will freeze "windows task manager" will not come up and all other programs that are currently running also freezealso i may not transfer any video files of any kind.ive attempted many way to transfer the data including using dos, active sync, simply moving the files, and also copy and pasting the files.ive also attempted to error correct the device manually but it will not go past step 4 on my computer and on other computers it has no problems at all.===additional info===i have alot of data on my 75.4gig* internal hd that is very vital to both my job and my life and with it reaching its end soon (due to partial heat damage it will not extend to cover the last 5 gigs of my drives** [again its along story...](its actually 80 but with all the updates to windows and such that the system files are freaking huge on here)*(basically i have used 67.1 gigs and it may seem like i have an additional 7.33 gigs but i only have 2.33)**===new info===last night i transfered "ghost in the shell innocents" to the drive and the file is intact and the correct size but will not play video nor play audio and is very lagy as i attempt to play it... ill leave the file as is for nowif any1 can help me figure out how to fix this problem it would be much appreciated

Try NNTP to a server called msnews.microsoft.com and then try one of the public.microsoft.windowsxp groups
