I have exchange 2010 server running on vmware esx server. It seems to stop working at random time some times it runs for 3 days and some time it runs for 30 days There is plenty ram almost 10gb and disk space and their nothing in the event viewer why it went down. I can go to the virtual console server when it is down and log into it.(noyt able to rdp to it or ping to it). The nic most time show up and online 99% of 100% times. However, I can not ping the gateway no longer so, I generally reboot the server and up everything comes back online. Any reason why it maybe do this and what I can do to fix it?

Hi , Please check the services of exchange (virtual machine) and verify they are started. And please check if the disk space of physical machine is enough. And if there is any error in Event Viewer on physical machine. If they are no problem. I recommend you post this on official web site of Vmware esx . in most cases, it is Vmware issue.
