Hi Jingoi,At times the uninstallation program fails, saying that there is one or more mailboxes still left in the databaseAlso some times you may see errors like "public folders having replicas, please move them to other server"To get rid of this you can go to ADSIEDIT and delete the mailbox database and public folder databaseAlso you need to delete the routing group connectorThen you have to make the new server as the routing master which will allow you to uninstall exchange

Hello,This issue is due to LegacyExchangeDn value of that user ID still stamped on it in an AD account. Thus it thinks it is still attached to theuser account. We can try following steps to correct this and delete the mailbox.1. Create or identify a test account that currently doesn't have a mailbox. We'll be connecting the mailbox to this account so you can access it.2. Verify you can see the disconnected mailbox in ESM3. In ESM, go to Tools, Mailbox Recovery Center4. Right-click Mailbox Recovery Center and choose Add Mailbox Store5. Find the mailbox database and select it6. You should see that mailbox from that store on the right side7. Right-click the disconnected mailbox and choose "Find match"8. The wizard should finish with the message "conflicts detected"9. Exit the wizard and right-click the same mailbox again, choose "Resolveconflicts"10. In the User Matching screen, click Browse and find the test mailbox youidentified earlier11. The next screen will show you the changes it will make, the changedlegacyExchangeDN will be put on the test account, not the current productionmailbox12. Complete the wizard13. Right-click the mailbox again and choose "reconnect"14. The reconnect should complete this time and you can logon to the mailboxusing the test account. Then try using "delete mailbox" to clear the mailbox. To remove the first Exchange Server 2003 computer from the administrative group follow the below link.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822931If you want to remove the Exchange manually from the computer follow the below linkhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/833396After finishing all the steps if you still see the server in the ESM you can delete the entry from adsiedit.msc in the configuation partition. So the exchange server will be completely removed from the environment. Thanks,Vinod
