unable to reslove name when attempting to logon to outlook anywhere
I have an outlook 2010 client connecting to exchange 2003 server. the problem is with one user. when he attempts to logon to his laptop from outside out network via outlook anywhere, outlook acts as though he is typing a wrong user id or password. I went as far as formatting his laptop and putting on a fresh install and still has the same issue. I then created his mail profile on my computer, logged in as me (mail admin), and i am able to logon as him with no problem.. so i beleive it may be permissions, but i compared his perms to mine, and find no major difference.. one other weird, thing, he has a second laptop the he uses that works without a problem... any ideas?

i remembered a while ago our Email admin had told me to look into the proxy settings, and change mail.mydomain.com to *.mydomain.com so i tried this, and it worked... my question to you is, what does the asterick do for me , and why wont "mail" work like it does with the rest of my email users? thanks r
