Please explain what you mean by "deliver in proper
folder". The Inbox is the proper folder as far as I know.--

Please note that the maximum rule size of your mailbox is 32KB.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886616/en-usYou should check the rule. You can also configure outlook 2003 to test whether the mails go to folder. Thus you can backup the rule by export rule option.Frank Wang

If by "alerts" you mean items in a folder, that's too
many. You need to come up with a way to cut that number.--

Thanks for reply1 How we will cut that number. 2 how we will check the size of rules in outlook as well as in exchange Please clear all the questions.

1. Delete some of the messages or move them to
subfolders, each of which is smaller than, say, 5,000 messages
each.
2. I don't know, but you should be getting an error
dialog if you are exceeding the maximum size.-- Ed Crowley

Hi,
And if you want to get the exact size of outlook rule, you should use MFCmapi to get it.
Make sure the outlook is online mode:
- Launch MFCMAPI- Click on Session and then click on Logon and Display Store Table.- Select the appropriate profile and click on OK- Double click on the mailbox name- Expand Root Container.- Expand Top of Information Store- Select Inbox and look for the respective property in right pane - Search for the "Property Tag" number "0x3FE10102" in the "Property Tag" Column.- Look for the "Value" of this "Property", it should be to the right of "cb:".- Dividing this "Value" by 1024 will give you the "Size of the Rules" in Kilo Bytes.
The property would disappear most probably he has exceeded 32 KB in the Rule Size.
