unable to send attachments some recipients
Iam so confused, I hope someone can help me.
At a client, we are running Small Business Server 2003.
The client computers have a mixture of Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2003.
This is the problem:
When a user sends a message with an attachment to specific email addresses, the recipient gets the message, but no attachment, even though the message looks large enough to have the attachment there.
The recipients all tend to be on common domains, so at first I though the problem to be at those domains, but this problem is becoming too common for me to blame an ISP.
The recipeints are using either Outlook or Outlook express, so I dont think i can blame the mail client.
I have tried changing the mail format in Outlook from rich text to plain text to HTML, but no luck.
I also tried sending via various SMTP servers, all with the same result.
Here's the part that confuses me:
If the client sends me the email, i receive everything ok. I then forward the message to the original recipient and they receive it ok. (I am not on their domain or Exchanhge server, Isend using SMTP internet mail) The result is that spend too much time forwarding messages for the client.
I have updated the server with SP2 and any other available updates.
Any ideas?
thanks for the help
