unable to send to new contact in exchange 07
I'm having ah odd issue. We're using Exchange 07, on a new server our company moved to last Feb. from Exch.03. When I create a new mail contact (smtp address) on the server, everything seems to be fine. It has all the same properties as the ones that were on it before the move. But if I try to send to it from an Outlook 07 client, I get a 550 5.1.1 "RESOLVER.ADR.EXRecipNotFound NDR back. I've deleted and re-created the avs multiple times with the same result. I can still send to the older contacts with no issue. At first I thought it was just an issue with the address being corrupted in the nk2 file. I deleted and tried again, no change. I created a new mail profile, and stopped using cache mode to rule out the OAB not being updated, same thing. I turned on smtp logging and checked the logs. For some reason, the email being sent to the contact isn't even hitting the smtp connector. It doesn't show in mesage tracking at all, either. I've checked the policy, the settings for the connector, the barracuda spam blocker/relay, and the services. All seems to be in order. Again, it works fine for all other smtp mail contacts. It also seems to work fine if the contact is not there and the address is entered manually. I admin for another company that has an identical server set up, have created a contact the same way, and it works fine. Any ideas or thoughts? Much appreciated?
