upgrade memory on exchange 2007 SCC
Hi All
i am running a 2 node SCC cluster with 8 GB memory on each , now i would like to upgrde both to 20 GB each and i want to know the best way to do that , should i shut down everything and install the new memeory on both node, or i can install it
on the passive node then fail over and change it on the other node.please advise

if u get downtime go for 1st option.If don't get go for 2nd option.

thanks for your reply . actually i dont have a windows just to confirm failing over to a non matching memory configuration node is not a problem?please confirm

Hi,
The best way is to go for the 2nd option ! that's the recommanded in a production environment in order to get the minimum downtime!

It will not be an issue for the mem upgrade, failover will not be an issue. Just upgrade both.Sukh

That's the whole point of SCC, just do the upgrade on your passive node, once done, move the CMS to it, then upgrade the newly passive node. Done!
