urgent help needed with restore
Hey Guys I am trying to restore a deleted mailbox but I am unsure what storage group the mailbox was a member of. Is there a way to see what storage group and deleted user was a member of (maybe a history of somesort?) Thanks

What version of Exchange? Was the entire account deleted or just the mailbox? How long ago was this deletion done? Troy Werelius www.Lucid8.com

Well I don't think this is possible then since its been so long I suppose you can use Ldifde to see if remnants of the Home path are still intact but I doubt it http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125087(EXCHG.65).aspx However if you have a test network I suppose you could restore AD back to a date the mailbox was still available and then use LDIFDE to find the value. Lastly if you have an older copy of each of the databases you could use Lucid8's DigiScope http://www.lucid8.com/product/digiscope.asp with the 30-Day DEMO license to open each of the databases so that you could find out quickly which one contained the desired mailbox Troy Werelius www.Lucid8.com

If you have a back of the Db prior to the deletion of the mailbox, then you should have no problem restoring the mailbox.
