Hi,
Do the external senders receive a NDR when trying to send to this recipient?
Try to enable SMTP logging and see if the messages are received.
Try to use message stracking to see what happens to the messages

Hi,
I agree with Leif. Regarding the issue, we need to gather further information in order to find the root cause of the issue.
Actually, when an external sender sends an email to your user, it comes through following phases:
1. The external sender submits email to his mail organization
2.His mail server sends email to your mail server
3. Your mail server deliver the message to your users mailbox
The issue may occur on all the three phases. Therefore, we need to check the NDR message (if received) and the message tracking log in order to know where the issue occurs. Then, we need to analyze related SMTP log file, NDR message and some other information to check why the message cannot be delivered. Detailed steps are as follows:
1. I suggest you have the external sender sends an email to both the problem recipient and you to troubleshoot the issue if possible.
2. Check if any NDR is received by the external sender, and paste here for further analysis.
3. Use Message Tracking Center to track such email to see whether it has entered your organization, and if yes, where did it stuck. Please let me know the tracking result.
