every time I want to use either office or excel I cant. cant always be connected to internet was ok till you forced me to up date

every time I want to use word  or excel it freezes and tells me I need to connect to the internet. this is not always possible and means I cant do what I want to when I want to  office I had be for didn't do this old version was

I'm not sure what it means by it asks you for internet, for activation or something else?

If you are using Online Services such as OneDrive, Office will need to connect to internet. Sign out from these services and check the result.
