can the word 2013 status bar be customized with group policies? if so, where are those settings listed in Group Policies? thanks!

The Word 2013 status bar settings are controlled by the registry entries in the following path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\StatusBar

For example:

DWORD: CapsLock

Value: 1 to enable Caps Lock, 0 to disable it.
