working with a dynamic IP
I have a mail server which was working on a static IP. Temporarily I have a dynamic IP instead. I can host my just my mail server at a remote location so that it can store any incoming mails that I may reteive at a later time. I am using exchange 2003. Basically, I want to be able to send and receive emails via dynamic IP. And I cannot use the ISP's SMTP server for this purpose. Please Help!

maybe you can purchase the Custom DNS, Mail Relay and Mail Outbound services from www.dyndns.com

I'm using DynDNS to allow for inbound mail to my Exchange 2007 lab and it does work. The main problem is the lack of a PTR record (which the free DynDNS service does not support). This can limit mail delivery service to/from large services (like AOL) which perform reverse lookups during mail delivery to 'verify' a mail server's validty.

It cannot be accomplished on exchange, per my knowledge. May I know why you want to do it?

I'm using DynDNS for my hosted Exchange 2007 lab at home over my DSL. I signed up for the free dynamic hostname. (hostname.is-a-geek.com).I then paid for the Custom DNS service for my private domain (i.e. mydomain.com)I created a MX record for mydomain.com to point to the dynamic hostname.I also created a CNAME for mail.mydomain.com.I created a webhop address for owa.mydomain.com to redirect to https://mail.mydomain.com/owa.I have tested sending myself mail from my yahoo account with no problems.
