2003 Domain Controller disconnecting network shares
I just setup a test 2003 server domain controller from scratch. I added an XP clients to the domain and then logged into the domain and mapped a network share from the server. Everythign worked fine and i leave the XP client logged into the domain all day
and night, but it seems every morning the XP clients is "disconnected" from the network. I try to open up the mapped folder and it tells me the device is already in use and doen't open. If i logoff and then back onto the domain all is well until the next day.
Is there a default setting somewhere that the server will allow for idle connections before disconnecting? i've read other threads and simply double clicking the mapped drive will re-connect the share, but not in this case....i have to logoff first to get
it to work. This was a clean install of server 2003 so I am surprised to see this sort of issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,
Is your server and xp clients up to date (service pack, patches)? Beside the information provided by Brent you should consider
reading this article.
