A little Domain clean up?
I have a question about trying to clean up an old domain that use to have a trust with our current domain. The old domain has been removed and all DC's from that domain have been brought down. But in the system event log on my current DC's I get the following error: This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain controller in domain SCIENTECH.SEC due to the following: There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. This may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer is connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact your domain administrator. ADDITIONAL INFO If this computer is a domain controller for the specified domain, it sets up the secure session to the primary domain controller emulator in theThis domain was taken down before I started working here so I don't know the names of any of the DC's that were a part of that domain. This is not causing any problems but I would just like to clean it up. Is there a way either through ntdsutil or ADSIedit to clean this up?Where would the current DC's be picking up information about that old domain from? Thanks for any help!Bill
