Access 2003 Installer
HI everyone. Give you the full story. About 2 years ago, we upgraded all of our client machines to Microsoft Office 2003, excluding Access 2003, and retaining our installation of Access 97, as we had a large number of databases which were in use, and validated. The databases were since removed, and we were able to upgrade the whole Office package to 2003.The process we took to install access 2003 was as follows:
Removal of Access 97 using the "offcln.exe /A /Q /R" command lineInstallation of Microsoft Office 2003 using the Mainenance Wizard and a pre-configured script fileInstallation of Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3Since completing this process the systems are receiving a Windows Installer the first time that access is opened per logon. It matters not which way you try to open access, via Database Shortcut, Application Shortcut etc, it still does it.We have tried a repairWe have tried a reinstallWe have tried Windows Installer CleanupNone of these seem to work. The issue doesn't occur on systems which have Access 97 installed, however, we can't install 97 back onto the PC's as we're running in a validated environment.Solutions?

What is the actual issue? Is the configuration window not completing or erroring out? Are you being presented with a file open dialog asking for the source files? Each user has unique office settings so the first time a newly installed office product is started the configuration dialog box should run.

Hi,
It seems that this issue is related to Office. I suggest discussing it in our Office newsgroup:

I hope your issue can be resolved soon.
