Hello.I have recently been having the problem on one of my servers, that none of the MMC based applications (ie: Services, IIS, Event Viewer ect) are showing properties windows anymore. If I open IIS and right click on a web site, and then click properties, nothing happens. No errors, nothing.Anyone run into this or have a good idea of how to fix it?

Hello, If the problematic server is based on Window Server 2003 or Windows 2000, you may refer to resolution in the following Microsoft KB article to see if it helps. You cannot view the properties of objects in an MMC snap-in in Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;926932 If the problem continues, you may test whether this issue exists in Safe Mode. Safe Mode with Networking 1. Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. 2. You can select the "Safe Mode with Networking" when you see Advance Boot Options menu. 3. Logon to Windows by using the Administrator account or any user account with the Administrator privileges. Please note: In Safe Mode with Networking, your system display and desktop will look and perform differently than in Normal Mode. If the issue still exists in Safe Mode, I would like to suggest you try fixing it by performing an in-place upgrade to repair the problematic system.
